We had originally booked the dates of October 23 - 26th at the legion but realized after we had cast the production we were going to need more time for rehearsals; mostly due to cast members having had things booked on their calendars already. That will also mean a change of venue.<br /><br />Blithe Spirit will run November 6 - 9 at Bearspaw Lifestyle Centre. The 8th will be a dinner theatre catered by Ron Knowles from the Western Event Centre on hwy 1 beside Calaway Park and the 9th will be a matinee. We're currently investigating the following weekend as well, so watch for updates on that.<br /><br />Blithe Spirit is about a man named Charles who is gathering information for his new book called "The Unseen". In order to do his research he invites a medium to perform a seance and he gets more than he bargained for when the spirit of his first wife is summoned from “the other side” only to wreak havoc on his second marriage. Noel Coward’s trademark wit and delicious humor come alive in this delightful rebuttal to the words “Til death do us part!” The Ensemble takes great pleasure in breathing life into a play beloved as this one and making it sparkle for new audiences. “I’ll be loving you, always.”<br /><br />Our cast includes:<br />Alex Clayton (Charles Condomine), Jane Usher (Ruth Condomine), Gordo Blakhart (Dr. Bradman), Ruth-Anne Marley (Mrs. Bradman), Lucy Mills (Edith), Paddy Barlow (Madame Arcati), Jennifer Reynolds (Elvira). Directed by JoAnn Ayotte and assisted by Kathy Wilson. Our stage manager is Carole Van Kleek and our costumes will be managed by Beth Draper.<br /><br />We are still looking for people to help with the production however.
